A New Way to Learn Guitar

socialnetwork-arrows

Exciting new changes are coming to Jamorama! We’re proud to announce that we’re introducing social networking to the site. Whether you’re just getting into guitar or you’re a seasoned veteran, the new social tools will help you build a strong support network that you can go to for encouragement, advice and support for years to come.

The Jamorama Social Network

The new Jamorama social platform allows you to connect with other guitar learners just like you, post comments and photos to your friends walls, stay in the loop via the News Feed, and “Like” and share your favorite posts. And with Wall Privacy, you get full control over who sees your posts – Everyone, only you, all logged-in users, or just your friends.

Forums

In addition to the social networking tools we’re adding to the site, we’ll be adding Forums. The Jamorama Forums give you a platform to ask or answer questions related to guitar. With the potential to have hundreds of conversations, 1000s of posts, there will be topics for everyone. You can ask a question any time, day or night, and get answers from real life guitarists who have faced the same issues you’re facing.

New Learning Dashboard

When the new Jamorama social platform is introduced you’ll also get a hugely improved user interface centered around a powerful Profile Dashboard. The Profile Dashboard gives you quick access to your profile, courses, activity stream and more, and is tightly integrated with Your courses – so you can see your learning progress at a glance.

New Courses

The arrival of the Jamorama social platform will also be an excellent time for us to add some new courses to the library. Mark is currently working on three courses in the following areas: singing and playing guitar, creating music with a loop pedal, and getting ready to jam with others.

Imminent Release

The Jamorama social platform will arrive in early May! When the moment arrives, existing members will be prompted to update their password to gain access to the platform, and new members will be able to sign up for free!

Existing members will continue to have access to all of the courses they currently have access to. All new members will get access to the Beginner Guitar Method – Stage 1 course for free, but will have to upgrade to Plus Membership to access more course content. All members will have access to the social networking tools and forums.

We’re Amped!

We’ve worked hard to pave the way for adding social networking to the site, and we’re excited about all the great things the new platform will bring to Jamorama: a guitar community with a voice, more opportunities for guitarists to connect – both online and offline, and even more success for our students. All in all, we believe Jamorama will be THE place where guitarists will connect in the future.

We hope you’re excited too, and we can’t wait to hear what you think.

We’re sure you have questions, so feel free to put yours in the comments section below.

Hello I would like to reset my lessons in Jamorama so that they no longer show as completed in order to redo the lessons. How do I do this? Everything says completed with the green check mark and I want to make that gone so I can monitor my progress as I start over.

Signed up for Jamorama and paid what I thought was lifetime membership. Have been away from computer and guitar for quite a while. Would you research your files to see if I still am listed as a lifetime member. Enrolled in new beginner course, but would like to know what happened to my account. Thanks

Learning guitar is a highly rewarding and enjoyable musical experience. This a good article for encouraging more and more people to learn to play guitar.

  6. Yee Kok Siong

Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of first learning guitar is that it is seemingly impossible to play anything that actually sounds good. This article certainly helpful for new learner. Thanks for sharing!!

    Hi Jon,

Like a number of other people above I too have been being able to login to the new Jamorama website. I have been with Jamorama for many years. A Loyalty Member since 2013. having full access to all your Guitar courses. Unfortunately, In your new website I get messages advising me that my Username does not exist. I sense something happened to Loyalty Members not transferring over to the new system. Yesterday, In frustration I joined up again to the Jamorama Free membership, so that I could communicate with someone as all my other requests for help have not been responded to you.

I really like the new format and would appreciate be upgraded to the lifetime Pro Membership for free. Which would restore me back to what I paid for back in 2013.

    Thank You
Alan :username alan4089 (this was my old username aswell)

    1. Luis Tovar

Hi Alan, Luis here from the Jamorama support team. I was able to find your new membership (username: alan4089) and I have upgraded it to the PRO level + lifetime membership, you now should be able to access to all the courses and the ones to come. You should also receive an email notification about this, anyway let me know if you have any further questions. Cheers.

      Hi John,

Sorry for the inconvenience. I’m not sure why your account wasn’t working but I’ve gone ahead and updated it so you have access to everything! All the best!

  11. Matthew Fabling

    Hi Jon,

I have been away travelling and not been accessing my account. I am now back and want to log in but it is failing to recognise my password and does not send a password change email to my account. I had to remake a free account to contact you! Can you help please?

    1. Luis Tovar

Hi Matthew, Luis here from the Jamorama support team. I am sending you an email right now with new instructions on how to access to the members area. Cheers!

  12. Sandi

I haven’t accessed site in a while due to illness and death in my family. I tried to access site on 7/18/2016 but for some reason it would not acknowledge or allow me to use the same username or password that I’ve been using since 2014. Nor would it allow me to update password. I was forced to sign in using my Google acct as a new member (which I am not!!!) And as a result I no longer have access to courses that I enjoyed (free) previously as a existing member which I currently still am. But now required to pay. Please Help…..

    1. Jon Coursey Post author

Hi Sandi, we upgraded the site recently requiring our legacy members re-register. We sent an email to all account holders about this, but it seems not everyone received it, probably due to changes of address, spam filters etc. I have located your new account and upgraded it to PRO membership so you now have access to all the course material and videos. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for your patience! Happy strumming!

    1. Luis Tovar

Hi Alon, Luis here. I just replied to your last email, let´s continue the conversation through our support center 😉

  13. Alon kaufman

    Hello,
For over a month I cannot login the website.
I spoke with your helpdesk-rockstar and they could not find my username: iris2690
    please assist !!

    1. Jon Coursey Post author

Hi Alon, I’ve just created a basic account for you and you should get an email shortly with the details on how to access that. I’ve been searching our databases for your name, email, username but couldn’t find you – although your email did turn up for another product of ours, SongPond. When you registered with Jamorama, you would have received an email from Clickbank. Are you able to find this and post the transaction number here? Then I’ll be able to find your details and update your account.

    2. Jon Coursey Post author

Hi Alon, thanks for posting that email from 2013. I’ve removed it because it had some of your personal information in it. I’ve just updated your account to Pro Membership. You should get an email about this. Let me know if that doesn’t come through.

  14. Karen

I love the new set up and struggled to log on initially. Played around with stuff a little and finally got on 🙂 Great work guys! I think this system/site is much easier to navigate – love your work 🙂

  15. Matthew Gamez

I’m an old member but have not received any confirmation email when I try to reset my password. Pls help 🙁

    1. Luis Tovar

Hi Matthew, did you check your spam folder? Anyway, I am sending you an email right now with a new password for you. Thanks in advanced for your patience. Cheers.

  16. Kathleen

Hi, Jon. Thank you for fixing my inability to sign into my account. However, I am unable to locate the metronome and tuning bonuses etc. that came along with my initial enrollment. One last thing…sorry…it seems I am having trouble navigating the new site…can you tell me if you show me with a pro membership? Many thanks for your assistance.

    1. Jon Coursey Post author

Hi Kathleen, unfortunately the bonus software became out-dated for recent Mac OS versions and we just didn’t have the resources to upgrade it. It still works for some older OS’s and PC. You can download it here if you want to try it. Oh, and yes you do have Pro membership.

  17. Tammy

Hi guys can someone get in touch please I have been a member for ages and couldn’t sign in the other day I tried recovering password email never came back to me I have emailed support 2 times now with no reply I can not find a ohone number anywhere for you guys and I have had to re register on free basic membership just so I could write this. This has me frustrated as I pay for my normal membership each month and still can’t access it.

    1. Jon Coursey Post author

Hi Tammy, I’ve just updated your membership to Pro. It looks like you weren’t added to the new system. I’m not sure why this was the case but I’m very sorry for the inconvenience it has caused you. You now have access to all the courses and extras that come with Pro membership.

  18. Chris k

Still no joy on password front, checked all spam filters. Can I ask you just to email my new password through. Thanks, Chris

    1. Luis Tovar

Hi Chris, I just sent you an email. Please let me know if you can now login with those details. All the best!

  19. Chris k

Hi, I have requested my new password but no email has arrived. Incidently, messing around with existing member accounts like this is a mistake bordering on arrogance. Do not do it. When I can get in, this is a great course though.

    1. Jon Coursey Post author

Hi Chris, we’re sorry for any inconvenience mate. I can see your account is all set up under the email address you’ve provided so perhaps the new password email is landing in your spam box? Check that and if it’s not there let me know. In any case, I can always set a password for you and email it to you.

  20. Chris Pitre

I can’t access the site. Keeps telling me my e-mail, username, and password are wrong.

    1. Jon Coursey Post author

Hi Tammie, it looks like you registered with Facebook. Are you able to login with the ‘connect with facebook’ button on the log in screen?

  21. Clive

I cannot get into site, I am a member.

  22. Mike

How do I get the Upgrade notification dialog box to stop popping up every time I change pages.
    Downright annoying

    1. Jon Coursey Post author

It’s only meant to show once, I’ll look into it and see if I can stop it showing up multiple times.
