From what I could understand, it seemed to be an accessory that could be fitted onto the acoustic to somehow project sound. The way they were talking about it, it seemed to be an alternative to having an acoustic with an outlet to plug into an amp. Is this right or am I missing something? If you did have a pickup and it did do the above, why would you then need an acoustic which could be plugged into an amp? For example: https://www.thomann.de/intl/dean_markley_pro_mag_sc1.htm Some work only when using steel strings. Others can also be used with nylon strings e.g.: https://www.thomann.de/intl/schaller_oyster_723.htm Is this what you were looking for?
