“How to Choose a Guitar Pick”

I get a lot of questions about which type of pick I recommend.

For beginners, I generally suggest a lighter gauge pick. They’re more flexible, which means they’re easier to hold on to.

Of course, more flexibility means less responsiveness. As you grow your skills, you may find yourself changing those ‘soft’ picks for more responsive ‘hard’ picks.

Ultimately, the choice is yours. Just make sure you try a range of picks before deciding what’s best for you.
