Hi! I’m 81 and blessed with very little micro coordination (as my physio once described my clumsiness). My son, who is a not too bad guitarist gave me this guitar and my Boss eBand piece of kit and really wants me to master this! I have had quite a few obstacles to any structured program, but liked this one when I first tried it some two years ago. However, tolerance and patience are not high on the personality traits of old farts, so I have failed a lot – and often.
However, I have a ping this time. We are in more a comfortable house with my own space again. My only problem (read excuse), is that after a replacement thumb joint in my right hand seven or eight months ago, I fell on the stairs and stuffed the prostheses and did the relevant tendons some injury which let me know when I started to strum at all seriously. So, this time I will start with the theory course. I played in the school band a year or two ago, my instrument being a euphonium which is really a fun and beautiful instrument. But nothing like a guitar, eh!
