Today I show you one of the coolest strums to learn… the Rock Strum. I call it that because it’s based on one of the most common rock beats – and that’s why it works!

You can use this strum as the basis for playing hundreds, if not thousands, of rock songs. But if you’re interested in just a few good examples where this strum is used, check these out:

I just cannot put into words how grateful I am for just this one lesson. I have ‘played’ guitar since I was 18 (60 years ago!) and I didn’t know how to strum. Either I’m a prize dumbo or just needed someone to tell and show me what you did.

You are the best instructor I’ve ever came across so far , and that has been about 2.5 yrs ago, Wish i could order your lessons on DVD. cause my puter is too small to look at while trying to learn. Tried L.M.G by S.K. I just feeel like I could learn more from you and a lot faster. You go into direct detail, you don’t tell stories of long ago, when you was a little boy. You teach Guitar in a way like no other.
